According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liquid crystal display device, which is capable of improving visibility of side surfaces to be closed to that of a front surface while preventing a transmittance rate from being deteriorated, includes: a first substrate; a thin film transistor arranged on top of the first substrate; a protective film which is arranged on top of the thin film transistor, and includes a first part and a second part thicker than the first part; first and second sub-pixel electrodes which are arranged on top of the protective film, and are spaced apart from each other while being arranged on a single pixel area at the same time; a second substrate facing the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first sub-pixel electrode is arranged on the second part of the protective film. The second sub-pixel electrode is arranged on the first part of the protective film. |
