An embodiment of the present invention provides a rechargeable battery configured to reduce the number of parts for electrically insulating an electrode assembly and a case and facilitate size management. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the rechargeable comprises: the electrode assembly including electrodes arranged on both sides of a separator, the electrodes having a coated region and an uncoated region, and the electrodes and the separator being spirally wound; an insulating case accommodating the electrode assembly and withdrawing the uncoated region through a uncoated region hole; the case accommodating the insulating case; and a cap plate coupled to an opening of the case and withdrawing an electrode terminal coupled to the uncoated region to a terminal hole.
