According to the present invention, provided is an electronic device having a touch sensor comprising: a display panel; a touch screen; and a touch screen operation circuit. The display panel displays an image. The touch screen is made of an electrode placed on the display panel. The touch screen operation circuit operates the touch screen. In addition, the touch screen operation circuit operates the touch screen as a first touch sensing method corresponding to a display mode of the display panel or converts the sensing mode into a second touch sensing method different from the first touch sensing method. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the electronic device having the touch sensor capable of securing operation stability, keeping reliability, and reducing power consumption.
