An electronic device comprising a flexible display includes: a flexible display unit comprising a display panel and a support structure configured to support the display panel; a sensor unit configured to sense whether the flexible display unit is bent; and a control unit configured to determine a bending degree and the bending direction of the flexible display unit based on a sensing result of the sensor unit. A plurality of touch recognition patterns are arranged on the display panel and the support structure, and the arranged touch recognition patterns are configured to include a bending confirmation pattern. Other embodiments are possible. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a bending degree is able to be confirmed by using a built-in display panel in a portable electronic device without additional costs for implementing related functions.
