The purpose of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display device which can be manufactured at low manufacturing costs using a simple manufacturing process without an additional manufacturing facility for the liquid crystal display device and has excellent liquid crystal controllability and transmittance. The liquid crystal display device according to the present invention comprises: a lower electrode which includes at least one lower plate unit electrode; an upper electrode which includes at least one upper plate unit electrode facing the at least one lower plate unit electrode; and a liquid crystal layer which is interposed between the lower electrode and the upper electrode and includes a plurality of liquid crystals aligned in a direction substantially perpendicular to surfaces of the lower electrode and the upper electrode. The lower plate unit electrode comprises a center electrode which is disposed at a center thereof, first cut portions which are disposed at a center of the center electrode, and a plurality of fine branch portions which are extended outwards from edge sides of the center electrode. The upper plate unit electrode comprises second cut portions which are interposed between the fine branch portions and the first cut portions, and third cut portions which are connected to the second cut portions, and which constitute boundaries between a plurality of sub-regions along with the first cut portions. Accordingly, the liquid crystal display device can improve liquid crystal controllability and transmittance. |
