The present invention relates to a transmission device for a bicycle. The transmission device includes multiple transmission units arranged in a cylindrical housing to be adjacent to each other. A sun gear is arranged on the center of each transmission unit. Multiple planetary gears are arranged to mesh with the sun gear. Driven gears are arranged to mesh with the planetary gears. A one-way clutch arranged between carriers configuring the exterior of the driven gears and the transmission units. The speed of the bicycle increases as the one-way clutch is fixed and released from the fixed position. The transmission device for the bicycle can cancel the transmission impact, prevent displacement of chains, is developed in a compact form, and maintains the lubricant for a long time without a relatively little amount of foreign matters. The present invention can cancel the transmission impact by employing a structure without the chain crossing the sprocket, prevent displacement of the chain, and be manufactured as a compact product due to the design including adjacent and overlapped gears in parallel. The transmission device has a cylindrical external housing, has only the shaft part exposed to both sides, has a relatively small amount of foreign matters stuck between the gears, and maintains the lubricant for a long time. |
