The present invention relates to an electrical connector which comprises: a cover; a matching assist lever pivotally mounted in the cover capable of pivoting between an open position and a closed position; and a connector positioning assurance (CPA) member slidably mounted in the cover capable of sliding between a non-operative position and a locking position. The CPA includes a flexible locking arm, and can be bent between a bending position and a rest position. The flexible locking arm includes: a blocking ramp for cooperating with a blocking shoulder on the cover; and a locking ramp for cooperating with a locking shoulder on the matching assist lever.
