The present invention relates to a steel grating used as a cover for a vent, a manhole, a drain, and the like or a pedestrian treadle for a civil-engineering structure, an architectural building, a plant, and the like. The steel grating includes: transverse supporting bars arranged at predetermined intervals and including insertion grooves arranged on the top in a longitudinal direction and fixating units on both lateral surfaces; trash preventing meshes including seating groove units formed at positions corresponding to the insertion grooves of the transverse supporting bars; cross bars fitted and seated in the seating groove units of the trash preventing meshes; and lateral plates joined to both ends of the transverse supporting bar separately. The present invention is advantageous to the simple installation and separation of the trash preventing meshes by forming the fixating units to be vertically bent after cutting the both lateral surfaces of the transverse supporting bar and obtains an effect of saving expenses for materials by minimizing a height of an existing trash preventing mesh. In addition, an effect of preventing various kinds of floating trashes is provided by providing a coupling structure in which positions of the upper parts of the transverse supporting bars, the lateral plates, and the trash preventing meshes correspond to each other. |
