Provided are a flat cable and a method for manufacturing a flat cable allowing a conductor of a terminal portion for connector connection to be protected and peeling of the conductor and an insulator during the connector connection to be prevented in an effective manner. A flat cable (10) has an insulating film bonded from both surfaces of a plurality of parallel conductors (2) such that the conductors (2) are interposed and is provided with a terminal portion (1) for connector connection. In the terminal portion (1), the conductor (2) is exposed on one surface except for at a tip and is attached to an insulating film (3b) on the other surface, and the tip of the conductor (2) is attached to a reinforcing film (4) protruding from the insulating film (3b) on the other surface and a protective film (5) is attached on the conductor (2) on one surface.
