The invention relates to a system for damping vibrations intended for being built into a transmission chain of a motor vehicle with a spark-ignition engine, including: a supporting member (1) capable of being rotated about an axis X with a moment of inertia I; and a first set of pendulum weights (8) tuned with a tuning order n; a second set of pendulum weights (9) tuned with a tuning order m; the moment of inertia I of the supporting member (1) being set such that, for any engine speed value comprised within engine speeds of the ignition-spark engine ranging from 800 to 5000 revolutions per minute, a second resonance order m of the first set of pendulum weights (8) is different from the tuning order m of the second set of pendulum weights (9). |
