The invention relates to a device which is designed to controllably drain blood from a limb, from the distal end thereof toward the proximal end thereof, and which comprises an inflatable air blanket (2) shaped to take an essentially frusto-conical shape when wound closely around the limb of a patient. The blanket (2) comprises an essentially inelastic outer layer (3) and an essentially elastic inner layer (4), the thickness of the inner layer (4) gradually decreasing from a proximal end (2p) of the blanket (2) toward a distal end (2d) of the blanket (2). Thus, the air blanket (2) inflates starting at distal end thereof toward the proximal end to controllably drain blood from the limb of the patient. |
