The present invention relates to a wearable haptic device and a method for providing walking guidance information using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the wearable haptic device includes: a movement detection unit which detects the position and movement information of a user; a communication unit which transmits the position and movement information of the user to a user terminal and receives a haptic signal from the user terminal; and a guidance information notification unit which provides the user with walking guidance information by outputting the received haptic signal as vibration, light, or sound. A walking guidance providing server detects the position, speed, and moving direction of neighboring vehicles using at least one among recorded video on the road, fixed sensor(s) on the road, and loop(s), generates neighboring information, and transmits the neighboring information to the user terminal. The user terminal determines if there is any danger using the received neighboring information and the position and movement information of the user, and in case of a danger, generates the haptic signal showing a danger situation and transmits the signal to the wearable haptic device. According to the present invention described above, the wearable haptic device and the method for providing walking guidance information using the same enable effective provision of the walking guidance information to the senior citizens or the hearing-impaired and helps users walk safely by notifying the users of unexpected danger(s). |
