PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shunt resistor that offers improved accuracy in measurement of current.SOLUTION: A shunt resistor of the present invention has a resistor with a preset resistance value at least as part thereof, and a voltage drop across the resistor bridging across two electrodes is sensed to determine a value of current flowing between the two electrodes. The shunt resistor includes a pair of connecting portions, each being fixed to each of the electrodes via conductive adhesive and electrically connected thereto, a bridge portion that extends from one connecting portion to another connecting portion to bridge across the connecting portions, and a pair of bonding wires for sensing the voltage drop across the resistor, the bonding wires being bonded to the bridge portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
