PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switched reluctance motor in which electromagnetic conversion efficiency is enhanced, and to provide an excitation method therefor.SOLUTION: A stator has a plurality of U-shaped magnetic poles A-H, each magnetic pole is constituted of two salient poles 101, 102, and an excitation coil 103 is wound around each magnetic pole. A rotor has U-shaped magnetic poles of the same number as that of the stator, and each magnetic pole is constituted of two salient poles 104, 105. Furthermore, the salient poles of the stator and the salient poles of the rotor are arranged entirely to face each other. Furthermore, magnetic poles of the stator are isolated magnetically from each other, and driven alone by a driving control power supply.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
