PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle composition having a synergistic preservative effect that requires no antioxidant, contains no additives that would lead to an increase in the levels of aluminum, has a sufficient preservative effect in solution agents, such as injections, and may be terminally sterilized.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a sterilized, self-preserved, synergistic antimicrobial vehicle composition consisting essentially of water, a low molecular weight alcohol in the range of about 25% to about 30% (v/v), and a glycol derivative in the range of about 20% to about 25% (v/v).
