The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electric precipitation device that can improve collection efficiency when a plate-shaped member of a precipitation electrode is disposed in a direction which is substantially perpendicular to a gas flow. The electric precipitation device is provided with: a discharge electrode (2) which includes a protruding discharge spine (6) and which causes corona discharge; and a precipitation electrode (3) which includes a gas-impermeable plate-shaped member (7) and which is disposed facing the discharge spine (6). The plate surface of the plate-shaped member (7) of the precipitation electrode (3) is disposed so as to be substantially perpendicular to a gas flow which flows towards the precipitation electrode (3). The discharge electrode (2) is disposed on the upstream side of the gas flow with respect to the precipitation electrode (3), and discharges on the upstream-side surface of the plate-shaped member (7) of the precipitation electrode (3). When the distance between the ends of two adjacent plate-shaped members (7) which are disposed on the same plane is a, and the width of one plate-shaped member is W, the relationship 0.1≤a/(a+W)≤0.5 is established.
