PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virus-like particle vector for the delivery of a therapeutic agent (a low-molecular weight agent) to a specific mammalian tissue, particularly a low-molecular weight anticancer agent to a cancer tissue.SOLUTION: The invention provides a polyvalent virus-like particle vector with at least two copies of an encapsulated or covalently linked low-molecular weight therapeutic substance, the vector constituting a recombinant adenoviral dodecahedron particle comprising a penton of adenovirus or a penton base protein of adenovirus, wherein the therapeutic substance is a proliferation inhibiting agent, preferably an anti-cancer drug. The adenoviral dodecahedron is derived from a mammalian particularly human virus, the low-molecular weight therapeutic substance to be delivered is a proliferation inhibiting agent, preferably a glycopeptide, in particular, an anti-cancer drug, preferably a bleomycin family, more preferably a bleomycin A5. Preferably, the low-molecular weight therapeutic substance is a particle covalently linked to an amine group or cysteine group or penton base of the dodecahedron using carbodiimide.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
