PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and promptly notify a customer of the total amount of commodities to be purchased during the shopping.SOLUTION: A shopping support system comprises a terminal used by a customer, and a server. The terminal is used by being attached to a shopping cart used by the customer, reads commodity identification information from commodities in the shopping cart, transmits the information to the server, receives from the server the total amount of the commodities to be purchased, and displays the total amount. The server receives the commodity identification information from the terminal and registers the information in shopping information of the customer. Further, the server calculates the total amount of the commodities indicated by the commodity identification information included in the shopping information and transmits the total amount to the terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
