The invention relates to an agitator comprising a propeller (1). The propeller (1) is driven by a motor (3) via a shaft (2). A transition piece (9) embraces the shaft (2) such that a space (10) is formed. An element (13) that is located in said space (10) is provided with an attachment (14) for sealing purposes.
