PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily bonding a ceramic member and an aluminum member to each other.SOLUTION: A method for bonding a ceramic member and an aluminum member to each other, includes the steps of: (a) preparing a ceramic member containing aluminum and/or silicon and an aluminum member; (b) installing a bonding material on at least one of the ceramic member and the aluminum member, wherein the bonding material comprises a siloxane polymer or a carbon powder-containing silica sol; (c) laminating the ceramic member and the aluminum member with the bonding material interposed therebetween to form an assembly; and (d) heating the assembly at a temperature of 430°C or more and less than 600°C in an inert gas atmosphere or in a vacuum atmosphere.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
