摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain core wire identification of an optical fiber, even in a case where an optical fiber or an optical fiber cord is fixed so as to be in a state of being curved so as not to generate bending loss or in a straight state.SOLUTION: A core wire identification system of an optical fiber includes an optical fiber or optical fiber cord 90, a light input unit 84, a fixation unit 83 and a light reception unit 82. An optical fiber strand of the optical fiber or optical fiber cord 90 is a multi-core optical fiber. The light input unit 84 inputs lights of plural wavelengths to cores 71 having a different multi-core optical fiber, for each wavelength. The light reception unit 82 has a function of measuring space distribution of Rayleigh scattering lights of plural wavelengths, identifying positional relationship of different cores in the cross section of a multi-core fiber and identifying a light propagation direction from the result of the positional relationship.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
