PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a dispersion strengthened copper-containing material capable of obtaining a dispersion strengthened copper-containing material by using an electro-deposition step.SOLUTION: A production method of a dispersion strengthened copper-containing material α1 comprises: a step for preparing an electro-deposition device 1 comprising: a storage tank 12 in which an electrolyte 11 including copper ions 111 and hard particles 113, is stored; and an anode 13 and a cathode 14 arranged in the storage tank 12; a step for performing electro-deposition by, energizing the electro-deposition device 1 for electro-deposition of a dispersion strengthened copper 21 in which, the hard particles 113 (213) are dispersed in a base metal 211, and the base metal 211 is copper, on a surface of the cathode 14; and a step for peeling the dispersion strengthened copper α1 deposited on the cathode 14 from the surface of the cathode 14. The thickness of the dispersion strengthened copper α1 is larger than 0.1 mm, and the hard particles 113 are metal oxide ceramic particles being at least one of titanium oxide particles and aluminum oxide particles.
