PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder hardly causing multi feeding of paper and a paper feeding error although the paper feeder includes a paper guide member composed of a guide film or the like in a range extending to the surface of a separation member.SOLUTION: When a tip of recording paper P is led to a nip area H while being in contact with the surface of a separation roller 73 via a tip portion 74a of a paper guide member 74, the tip of the recording paper P is led up to the vicinity of the nip area H while slipping and moving on the surface of each projecting end section, and the tip of the recording paper P quickly passes the nip area H. Accordingly, a paper feeding error is hardly caused. Since a distance from each recessed end section to the nip area H is long and the tip of the recording paper P is in contact with the separation roller 73 for a long period until the tip of the recording paper P reaches the nip area H from just after passing each recessed end section, each recording paper P can be separated to every one sheet by the separation roller 73 even if a plurality of sheets of recording paper P are overlapped, thereby hardly causing multi feeding of paper.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
