Systems and Methods for Presenting Information About Products Based on Movement of the Products

Systems and methods are provided for presenting information related to a product offered for sale in response to movement of the product. An example method includes receiving a movement indicator from a tag associated with the product. The movement indicator indicates movement of the product. The movement indicator includes an identifier. The method further includes identifying, in a tag data structure, a presentation device associated with the identifier, and causing information about the product to be displayed at a presentation device located proximate to the tag, whereby the consumer is able to perceive the information about the product.

1. A system for presenting information related to a product offered for sale to consumers at a merchant location, the system comprising:
a communication hub including a tag data structure; a tag associated with a product offered for sale, the tag configured to provide a movement indicator, the movement indicator including an identifier; and a presentation device coupled to the communication hub, the presentation device disposed proximate to the product offered for sale; wherein the communication hub is configured to receive the movement indicator, to identify, in the tag data structure, the product offered for sale based on the identifier, and to cause to be presented, at the presentation device, information related to the product offered for sale.
