PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor element capable of suppressing the occurrence of warping during burning by a simple contrivance.SOLUTION: In a gas sensor element 1, when it is assumed that a length of a sensor electrode material 231 before burning is u0, a length of the sensor electrode material 231 after burning is u1, a length of a part 250 of a reference electrode material 251 onto which the sensor electrode material 231 is projected before burning is v0, and a length of the part 250 of the reference electrode material 251 onto which the sensor electrode material 231 is projected after burning is v1, a difference between a thermal shrinkage (u0-u1)/u0×100(%) indicating a reduction rate of the length of the sensor electrode material 231 during burning and a thermal shrinkage (v0-v1)/v0×100(%) indicating a reduction rate of the length of the part 250 of the reference electrode material 251 onto which the sensor electrode material 231 is projected during burning is not larger than 5%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
