PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus having an X-ray tube capable of changing effective focal spot irrespective of the size of effective focal spot.SOLUTION: The X-ray diagnostic apparatus capable of changing effective focal spot includes: a target capable of changing the size of an effective focal spot irrespective of the size of the effective focal spot; and an effective focal spot control section that controls the size of the effective focal spot by controlling the position where an electron beam of an electron emitted from a filament and accelerated by an electric field collision with the target.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
