PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment housing furniture which enables operation by remote controllers while an image recording/reproducing apparatus and the like are hidden.SOLUTION: Equipment housing furniture 1 comprises: a storage housing part 2 for storing an image recording/reproducing apparatus 4 and the like; and a door 3 provided openably and closable on a central front face side of the storage housing part 2. The door 3 includes a door body part 31 made of an opaque material such as lumber. In the door body part 31, for example, four laterally-long horizontal slits 32, which allow signal light (infrared light) emitted from a remote controller of the image recording/reproducing apparatus 4 and the like to pass through, are formed at an equal interval in a vertical direction.
