PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket which eliminates directivity when a straight pipe LED lamp is attached to improve the workability and achieves reduction of component costs and management costs, and to provide a lighting device.SOLUTION: A straight pipe LED lamp 20 including a power supply side mouth piece 21 having power supply pins 25 and a ground side mouth piece 22 having a ground pin 27 is attached to a lamp socket 30. The lamp socket 30 includes: a body 31; a cover 32 attached to the body 31; a rotor 34 rotatably attached to the body 31 and holding the power supply pins 25; and a holding rib 36 holding the ground pin 27.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
