The present invention relates to: a vinyl-based thermoplastic resin composition having excellent thermal stability, containing a metal chelating agent, and containing first and second vinyl-based monomers having different iron ion concentrations; a preparation method therefor; and a vinyl-based thermoplastic resin prepared therefrom. The vinyl-based thermoplastic resin composition can have improved thermal stability, and a vinyl-based thermoplastic resin prepared from the composition can have excellent thermal stability, and thus can be easily applied to an industry requiring the same, particularly, the industry of a vinyl-based thermoplastic resin and a molding processed product thereof.
