PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element capable of striking a balance between light extraction efficiency and storage stability.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element includes a resin substrate 1, a gas barrier layer 2 provided on the resin substrate 1, a light-scattering layer 3 provided on the gas barrier layer 2, a smoothing layer 4 provided on the light-scattering layer 3, a cap layer 12 provided on the smoothing layer 4 and mainly composed of silicon nitride, and a light-emitting unit 6 comprising organic functional layers held between a pair of electrodes. The amount of outgassing from a laminate of the resin substrate 1, the light-scattering layer 3, the smoothing layer 4, and the cap layer 12 is 0.2 mg/mor less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
