PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide human erythropoietin having predetermined sialic acid (N-acetylneuraminic acid) residues and sugar chain structures for use as pharmaceuticals.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a mixture of erythropoietin isoforms including 6-17 sialic acid residues per molecule, having a ratio between tetraantennary, triantennary and biantennary glycosyl forms in a range between 83:14:2 and 74:21:6.
