[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of providing a valve-type writing instrument in which the need for a frequent operation of pushing in a core is obviated, resulting in a longer service life, and with which blurring of written characters does not take place. [Solution] The present invention has an ink tank shaft 1, a valve storage tube 2 fitted to the ink tank shaft 1, and a core 4 slidably held in the valve storage tube 2. An ink storage member 6 for storing ink and a valve unit case 7 internally provided with a valve mechanism are loaded into the valve storage tube 2. The ink storage member 6 has the shape of a cone from which the tip section has been removed, a core insertion hole 8 for slidably housing a half section of the core 4 being formed so as to penetrate the center of the ink storage member 6. A large number of slits 9 for storing the ink are formed radially from the core insertion hole 8, and the ink stored in the slits 9 is allowed to infiltrate, at all times, from the part of the core 4 housed in the core insertion hole. |
