The present invention relates to a method to recover a byproduct from a wet nickel-extracting process. An objective of the present invention is to provide a method to recover the byproduct from the wet nickel-extracting process which increases a recovery rate of a hydrochloric acid and suppresses inclusion of an unnecessary component in a recovered iron oxide. More specifically, the method to recover the byproduct from the wet nickel-extracting process comprises: a step of reducing ore containing nickel and iron in the wet nickel-extracting process which recovers nickel from the ore containing nickel and iron; a step of forming the reduced ore into slurry; a step of allowing the slurry to react with acid to precipitate ferronickel and acquire precipitation filtrate; a step of allowing the precipitation filtrate to react with a counteragent to remove impurities; a step of removing H_2O from the precipitation filtrate from which the impurities are removed, and crystallizing FeCl_2; a step of cooling a solution containing an FeCl_2 crystal and MgCl_2; a step of separating and removing filtrate containing MgCl_2 from the solution; and a step of roasting a separated solid to recover iron oxide and hydrochloric acid. |
