PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC tag reading device that can read an IC tag irrespective of a distance to an IC tag attached to an article or a direction thereof.SOLUTION: An IC tag reading device according to an embodiment comprises: an antenna that has a first power feeding point feeding an electric power, and a second feeding point feeding the electric power at an angle of almost 90 degrees relative to the first feeding point; first radiation means that causes the electric power to be fed to the first feeding point, and thereby causes a horizontal polarization wave to be radiated from the antenna; second radiation means that causes the electric power to be fed to the second feeding point, and thereby causes a vertical polarization wave to be radiated from the antenna; third radiation means that feeds the electric power to the first feeding point and the second feeding point at a time, and thereby causes a circle polarization synthesized with a phase difference kept between the horizontal polarization wave and the vertical polarization wave to be radiated; and switch means that selectively selects the first radiation means, the second radiation means and the third radiation means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
