The invention relates to a linear actuator comprising: - an adjusting wheel (14, 14') that is in the form of a ring gear rotatably mounted in a housing, - an actuator, which is coupled to the adjusting wheel (14, 14'), for rotationally adjusting the ring gear in defined angular positions, - an adjusting ring (16, 16') which is arranged coaxially within the adjusting wheel (14, 14') and can be displaced axially by rotation of the adjusting wheel (14, 14'), and - a sliding sleeve (24, 24') which is arranged coaxially within the adjusting ring (16, 16'), is axially fixed and is rotationally decoupled from the adjusting ring (16, 16'), the inner peripheral surface (142, 142') of the adjusting wheel and the outer peripheral surface (163, 163') of the adjusting ring (16, 16') forming two guiding surfaces that interact with each other and that have mechanical guiding structures which comprise a plurality of guiding bodies (161, 161') and by means of which a rotational movement of the adjusting wheel (14, 14') can be converted into an axial displacement of the adjusting ring (16, 16'). The invention is characterized in that the guiding structures also have a plurality of uniform guiding grooves (143, 143') which are offset azimuthally relative to each other, which are provided in a first guiding surface (142, 142') and extend spirally around this surface, and in each of which is guided one of the guiding bodies (161, 161'), which each have a round cross-section in the radial direction and are distributed over the periphery of the other guiding surface (163, 163'). |
