Provided is a weed control method with which it is possible to control difficult-to-control weeds such as Kudzu. This weed control method use ultraviolet light to achieve killing and/or growth control of long, trailing difficult-to-control weeds. For example, by irradiating difficult-to-control weeds directly with ultraviolet light, the difficult-to-control weeds are killed, and by irradiating with ultraviolet light the space where the intrusion by difficult-to-control weeds is to be avoided, the growth of the difficult-to-control weeds is suppressed. In this way, long, trailing difficult-to-control weeds are targeted, with said difficult-to-control weeds being killed and their growth controlled. |
