A cleaning machine for cleaning hard surfaces and a cleaning method thereof, the cleaning machine comprising an outer shell (1), a negative pressure source (2), and a main water tank (3); the outer shell (1) is provided with an accommodating space, and one end thereof is provided with a suction nozzle (112); the negative pressure source (2) is positioned in the accommodating space of the outer shell, and the negative pressure source (2) and an adjacent centrifugal fan impeller (21) together produce centrifugal force; the main water tank (3) is positioned in the accommodating space of the outer shell, and has a water discharge outlet (32) and a main water tank water inlet (31); the suction nozzle (112) and a suction tube connected thereto together form a water-air mixture suction channel; an air outlet of said suction channel is connected to the centrifugal fan impeller (21) and forms a water-air eddy current in a water-air mixture eddy current reduction tank (12), thus forming a water-air eddy current separation structure; the water-air mixture eddy current reduction tank (12) is positioned in the accommodating space and is arranged between the negative pressure source (2) and the suction nozzle (112), said water-air mixture eddy current reduction tank (12) being connected to the main water tank (3) successively by means of water-air mixture temporary storage channels; and an exhaust apparatus and an air outlet of the outer shell connect to form an exhaust structure; water-air separation is thus implemented to achieve the objective of cleaning; the structure is simple, and the water-air separation is efficient. |
