PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylene oligomer having improved solubility for use in electronics applications and the like such as in forming a dielectric material layer and the like.SOLUTION: The polyarylene oligomer is prepared from a biscyclopentadienone monomer, an aromatic monomer including two or three ethynyl moieties represented by formula (1) and a monomer containing an ethynyl moiety represented by formula (2) and a polar group. A method for forming a dielectric material layer comprises depositing a composition including the oligomer and an organic solvent solution on a substrate surface, removing the organic solvent and curing the oligomer to form a dielectric material layer.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
