摘要 The present invention relates to a portable apparatus and a method to measure a speed of a seismic pulse with a variable core size to acquire the speed of the seismic pulse on a site with respect to a core collected using a borehole. The portable apparatus to measure the speed of the seismic pulse comprises: a rail; a pair of support members horizontally moved on the rail, having a vertical guide therein, and having a core interposed in a separation space; a sound wave generation unit installed in the vertical guide of one support member, generating a sound wave; and a sound wave reception unit installed in the vertical guide of an other support member, receiving the sound wave passing through the core wherein the sound wave generation unit and the sound wave reception unit installed in the vertical guide of an other support member, and receives the sound wave passing through the core wherein the sound wave generation unit and the sound wave reception unit are vertically moved along the vertical guides and are positioned on both ends of a central axis parallel to the rail among the center shafts of the core to fixate the core. Accordingly, it is possible to acquire the speed of a seismic pulse and the size of a core regardless of the type of cores on a site with respect to the cores collected using the borehole.
