PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply and a charging method for the power supply, capable of reducing a time necessary for completing the charging of a capacitor.SOLUTION: The power supply includes the capacitor and a charge voltage control unit. The capacitor supplies power to an electronic apparatus. The charge voltage control unit controls such that a charge voltage according to an ambient temperature to preliminarily charge the capacitor, during a period when an activation signal of the electronic apparatus is not detected, is set to be lower than a charge voltage according to the ambient temperature to genuinely charge the capacitor, during a period when the activation signal is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
