Provided is a power conversion device that takes control for detecting the current of an operating bus into account, suppresses the amount of bus current fluctuation, and has reduced power loss. In the control of a power conversion unit using a switching signal, if an AC rotating machine is in a power running operation state, a voltage vector is made to be such that a power running mode occurs at the timing at which the bus current is detected and if the AC rotating machine is in a regenerative operation state, the voltage vector is made to be such that a regenerative mode occurs at the timing at which the bus current is detected. Thus, power loss resulting from the fluctuation of a bus current is reduced.
