PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device that can efficiently enhance the security of a communication system using a common key encryption system in road-vehicle communication and vehicle-to-vehicle communication which needs to put a high priority on real-time performance.SOLUTION: In the processing of updating a key and performing communications, a recorder 18 manages a common key table to be formed by combining plural partial common key tables each containing plural common keys. A security processor 15 executes security processing on data by using any common key in a common key table managed in the recorder 18. A MAC frame processor 14, a modulation/demodulation unit 13, and an RF unit 12 transmit data which have been subjected to security processing. A key update unit 153 adds the common key table with a new partial common key data to update the common key table.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
