PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve torsional rigidity and flexural rigidity of a vehicle body rear part by enhancing joining strength in a junction between a roof side panel and a rear pillar.SOLUTION: A structure of a vehicle body rear part 1 is provided with an opening 2 for a window and an opening 3 for a door, which are partitioned by a roof side panel 4 extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction and a rear pillar 5 extending in a vehicle vertical direction. The rear pillar 5 comprises a side outer panel 6 and a pillar inner panel 8. The pillar inner panel 8 is formed in a substantially L-shaped cross section by a longitudinal panel surface part 9 disposed so as to face a vehicle width direction and a vertical panel surface part 10 disposed so as to face the vehicle longitudinal direction. An upper part of the pillar inner panel 8 is disposed so as to cross a roof side inner panel in the vertical direction while maintaining the substantially L-shaped cross section, and joined to an upper side part 7a and a lower side part 7b of the roof side inner panel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
