System and process for production of biofuels

A continuous process of producing fuel from a feedstock comprising algae, the process comprising the steps of: preprocessing the feedstock to increase the concentration of the algae to greater than or equal to 30% by weight of the feedstock, wherein the preprocessing steps comprise: (g) heating the feedstock to a temperature above approximately 70*C for approximately 90 seconds; and (h) removmg excess water from the feedstock to produce a concentrated pumpable feedstock; and (i) further processing the concentrated pumpable feedstock by: U) adding at least one additive to the preprocessed feedstock; and (k) processing the preprocessed feedstock by pressurizing and heating the preprocessed feedstock to convert at least a portion of the algae to a fuel; and (1) extracting the fuel from the preprocessed and processed feedstock.
