PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red fluophor narrow in half width of luminescence peak and excellent in luminescence property, a manufacturing method therefor, a fluophor-containing compound and a light-emitting device using the fluophor and an image display device and a luminaire using the light-emitting device.SOLUTION: There is provided a fluophor containing a crystal phase having a chemical composition represented by the formula [1], percentage of Mn to the total molar number of Mand Mn of 0.1 mol% to 8 mol% and weight median diameter of 10 μm to 50 μm.
