PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a self-assembled structure in preparing nanoporous membranes.SOLUTION: A method for producing a self-assembled structure comprising a diblock copolymer expressed by the following formula (I), comprises: (i) dissolving the diblock copolymer in a solvent system to obtain a polymer solution; (ii) spin-coating the polymer solution onto a substrate; (iii) annealing the coating obtained in (ii) to obtain a self-assembled structure; and optionally (iv) washing the self-assembled structure obtained in (iii). (In the formula: Ris a poly(alkylene oxide) group; Ris a substituted C-Caryl group or a heteroaryl group; one of Rand Ris a substituted C-Caryl group, and the other is a substituted C-Calkoxy group; and n and m are independently about 10 to about 2000.)SELECTED DRAWING: None
