PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which it has not been taken into consideration that a user browses meta data by a natural operation without being conscious of performing communication for obtaining the meta data.SOLUTION: A communication device includes: request means that requests image data held by an external device from the external device; reception means that receives from the external device the image data transmitted in response to the request; display control means that displays on a display unit the image received by the reception means; and reception means that receives an instruction to select the image data displayed by the display control means.
