PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memorial article to be a commodity in which ashes and a memento are integrated, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A memorial article is obtained by: installing a memento 2 in a translucent body part 1 made by solidifying ashes with resin so as to be arranged inside the body part 1 away from the bottom surface of the body part 1; hardening the body part 1 followed by solidifying; and attaching an object part 6 having a percentage content (powder concentration) of ashes higher than that of the body part 1 to the body part 1 so as to integrally combine the body part 1 formed from resin mixed with ashes with the memento 2.
