PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel battery system arranged so that the influence by an electrochemical oxidation of a fuel electrode can be sufficiently reduced while executing a shutdown stop.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel battery system comprises: a fuel battery module containing fuel battery cells each having an air electrode, a solid electrolyte (having an active lower limit temperature T), and a fuel electrode (having an active lower limit temperature T) including a substance capable of electrochemically performing an oxidation reaction with an oxygen ion; and a shutdown stop circuit; a fuel-supply device; a water-supply device; an oxygen-supply device; and a controller which controls the fuel-supply device, the water-supply device and the oxygen-supply device, and controls the power extraction from the fuel battery module. In the fuel battery module, the active lower limit temperature Tis higher than T. On condition that the temperature in the fuel battery module is equal to or higher than the active lower limit temperature Tin a temperature region lower than a temperature at which oxidation expansion of the fuel electrode is caused after shutdown stop, the shutdown stop circuit executes an oxidation shrinkage step where the oxygen-supply device is operated to supply oxygen into the fuel battery module and a predetermined quantity of oxidation shrinkage of the fuel electrode is caused.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
