1. A method for pairing a device to an account managed by a remote service comprising:
connecting, by a joining device, to a commissioning device via a first communication path, wherein the commissioning device comprises a device configured to manage pairing of the joining device joining a fabric to an account managed by a remote service; receiving service configuration details from the commissioning device, wherein the commissioning device has previously retrieved the service configuration details from the remote service, wherein the service configuration details include details configured to enable the joining device to connect to the remote service; connecting, by the joining device, to the remote service via a second communication path using the service configuration details; validating the connection between the joining device and the remote service using at least one or more of a pairing token, an account identifier, and a list of certificates; and obtaining additional details from the remote service via the connection to the remote service. |
